Lothar Frenz is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Functional Movement Systems Level 1 (FMS), Precision Nutrition Coach, Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength Professionals Association. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in special populations through the University of Maryland, College Park.
Lothar’s background as an athlete started at the age of five, coached by his late father who was a professional soccer player in his home country of El Salvador and who also created a successful academy titled LOREFA. Lothar excelled in soccer throughout his childhood, playing on Olympic Development leagues and Second Division team Real Maryland F.C. Lothar aims to further his father and his own love and legacy for the game of soccer through developing youth and their dedication to the sport while instilling the values that team sports can offer for life.
As an avid student of new research and evidence-based exercise programming and assessment protocols, Lothar incorporates different techniques to comprehensively assess clients. These assessments include Functional Movement Screens (FMS), maximal and sub-maximal strength and agility tests and VO2 max testing. This facilitates him to optimally design programs that help enhance people’s ability to move better and do so pain-free. As well as, become stronger, faster and enjoy the multitude of benefits that go along with being physically active.
Lothar’s passion and specialty is primarily associated with Soccer, strength and conditioning, and athletic performance. Helping student athletes improve athleticism, development of strength, skills and knowledge for the game of soccer and reducing risk of injury.
